Notable Nannies connects experienced childcare professionals with families seeking long-term, full-time support in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, and surrounding Triangle communities. Our role is to help both sides assess whether the schedule, responsibilities, communication style, and long-term expectations are a strong fit.
Who should apply?
Our published candidate requirements include authorization to work in the United States, English proficiency, a high-school education, at least two years of professional childcare experience, current first-aid and CPR training, strong employer references, driving qualifications for roles that require transportation, and the ability to make at least a one-year commitment.
Review the complete, current candidate requirements before applying. Individual job listings may include additional experience, schedule, driving, travel, or education requirements.
Access clearly defined opportunities
Agency-supported searches can give professional nannies access to roles with defined schedules, duties, compensation ranges, start dates, and family priorities. Clear information helps candidates focus on positions that match their experience and career goals.
A thoughtful matching process
A successful placement is more than a résumé match. We consider childcare experience, age-group strengths, schedule needs, driving requirements, household responsibilities, communication preferences, and the kind of working relationship each side wants to build.
Before introducing a position, the agency reviews the role’s schedule, duties, compensation and benefit expectations, and the family’s priorities. Families and candidates still make their own final decisions. Interviews, references, screening, and a paid working interview when appropriate help both sides evaluate fit.
Application and interview support
Candidates receive guidance about the application and interview process, the information a family is likely to need, and how to present their experience professionally. We also help clarify responsibilities, schedules, benefits, and expectations before a placement is accepted.
Use our agency application guide, interview-question guide, and video-interview checklist to prepare.
Professional employment standards
We encourage families and nannies to discuss gross pay, guaranteed hours, overtime, paid time off, holidays, reimbursements, performance reviews, and notice expectations in a written employment agreement. A nanny is generally a household employee and should be paid through compliant payroll rather than treated as an independent contractor.
Notable Nannies can share general hiring information and refer families or candidates to qualified payroll, tax, or legal professionals when specialized advice is needed. We do not replace those advisers or guarantee the outcome of an employment relationship.
Understand terms before applying
Review the current candidate application, privacy language, screening authorization, and any agency terms before submitting personal information. Ask the agency directly about any candidate-side charges if the current application terms do not state them. Applying does not guarantee an interview, introduction, job offer, or placement.
Support focused on lasting placements
Our focus is sustainable, long-term placement—not filling a role as quickly as possible. Honest communication from the beginning gives the nanny and family a better foundation for a respectful, stable working relationship.
