About the Family:
A loving and busy family in Chapel Hill is seeking a dedicated and caring Household Manager and Nanny to join their home. With three vibrant and spirited children aged 5, 7, and 9, the family is looking for an individual who can provide both childcare and household support. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and managing household tasks in a warm, supportive environment.
Childcare:
Provide attentive and nurturing care for three children aged 5, 7, and 9.
Coordinate and manage school pick-ups at 3:15 PM daily.
Assist with homework ensuring a productive and supportive learning environment.
Transport children to and from after-school activities, ensuring their safety and punctuality.
Supervise and engage with children during playtime and extracurricular activities, fostering their interests in sports, board games, biking, and dancing.
As able, provide full-day care from 9 AM to 5 PM on days when children are out of school.
Occasionally accompany children to medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Household Management:
Perform household tasks including organization, laundry, running errands, grocery shopping, and light meal preparation.
Maintain a clean and orderly household environment, ensuring common areas are tidy and functional.
Manage household schedules and coordinate activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
Minimum Pet Care:
Provide minimal assistance with pet care for the family’s large dogs, such as letting them in and out. Both dogs are great with children and are well-trained.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in childcare and household management.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for school pick-ups, activities, and errands.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with children and parents.
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to the needs of a busy family.
Willingness to engage in the family’s interests and activities, creating a harmonious and supportive household.
You must be CPR and First Aid certified.
Preference for candidates with a background in education or child development.
Experience with light meal preparation and basic household maintenance.
Pet-friendly with a willingness to engage with the family dog.
School Days: Afternoon to early evening hours, school pick-up at 3:15 PM.
Non-School Days: As possible, full-day care from 9 AM to 5 PM. (Children attend camp in the summer so the need for full days is only occasional and few per year.) This is flexible.
Flexibility to adjust hours as needed for appointments and family events.
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Salary: $26 to $36 an hour DOE
