Full-Time Nanny / Family Assistant Needed for Warm, Organized Family with Toddler & Infant in Chapel Hill, NC
A warm and welcoming family in Chapel Hill is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organized full-time nanny to care for their two young boys, a toddler and an infant.
This position is ideal for a professional nanny who is passionate about child development, enjoys creating engaging activities, and takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards of organization, cleanliness, and safety within a child-focused environment.
The family recently relocated from a large metropolitan area and values kindness, respect, professionalism, and strong communication. They are seeking a nanny who will become a trusted partner in supporting their children’s growth and helping maintain smooth daily routines.

The mother is currently home with the infant and values a collaborative partnership with a confident professional who can independently manage responsibilities while maintaining open communication.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 7:15 AM–3:15 PM
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- Occasional weekend support will be requested approximately twice per month for a half-day shift on either Saturday or Sunday.

Children

The toddler enjoys cars, animals, outdoor adventures, and age-appropriate learning experiences. The infant is currently focused on feeding, sleeping, and developmental milestones.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will assume ownership of the children’s daily lives, routines, environments, developmental opportunities, and related household systems while proactively anticipating needs and implementing solutions without requiring day-to-day direction.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing attentive, nurturing care for both children
* Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings
* Planning and rotating age-appropriate toys, books, sensory activities, and developmental materials
* Researching and implementing enriching activities, local classes, outings, and learning opportunities
* Monitoring developmental milestones and collaborating with parents on age-appropriate goals and activities
* Driving the children to activities and local enrichment opportunities using the family vehicle
* Taking the toddler on daily walks and community outings
* Preparing healthy meals, snacks, and food for the children
* Supporting healthy eating habits and preparing fresh fruits, vegetables, and snacks for outings
* Managing children’s laundry
* Assisting with bath time several times per week
* Maintaining children’s bedrooms, play areas, and belongings
* Organizing toys and rotating activities as appropriate
* Monitoring household inventory related to the children and proactively communicating supply needs before items run low
* Restocking diapering stations and child-related supplies
* Maintaining organized children’s closets, clothing systems, seasonal rotations, and equipment storage
* Changing bedding and towels as needed
* Monitoring and maintaining high safety standards throughout the home
* Identifying opportunities to improve organization, efficiency, and household systems related to the children and implementing solutions with parent approval
* Communicating proactively regarding schedules, supplies, and household needs
The family is seeking someone who notices details, enjoys implementing systems, and naturally takes initiative to keep child-related areas running smoothly without constant direction.
Household Support
This role includes meaningful family-assistant responsibilities during nap times and periods when childcare demands are lighter. The goal is not heavy housekeeping but proactive support in helping the household remain organized, functional, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities include:
* Loading and unloading dishes
* Taking garbage bins out weekly
* Cleaning and resetting the highchair and kitchen area after meals
* Tidying and resetting the playroom daily
* Periodically sanitizing toys and child equipment
* Completing daily household resets of child-related and commonly used family spaces
* Maintaining organization systems throughout the home and identifying areas needing attention
* Assisting with household errands, returns, donations, and occasional family-related tasks
* Supporting meal preparation, produce washing, snack preparation, and basic food organization
* Preparing activity materials, rotating toys, and maintaining organized play environments
* Helping maintain family vehicle cleanliness and readiness for children’s transportation, including a quick daily vacuum and wipe-down
The family employs a part-time housekeeper three days per week, so this is not a heavy housekeeping role.

Requirements
