Loving and Kind Chapel Hill Family are excited to find a Full-time Nanny for their 7yo Boy and 3yo girl to start in late August.
The role has some amount of flexibility with the starting date for the right candidate and they are looking for someone who can work with the Family with a tentative guarantee of 30 hours a week. The Family would like the position to have the schedule of 11:30am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday. They would appreciate a Nanny who is willing and able to help with household tasks while the children are in school, napping etc. The hours listed begin at pick up time from their daughter’s school. Ideally, they want to find someone available for earlier hours on days when school is not in session or if a child is sick. If that means they need to start the day earlier all days, they can discuss that and include more household duties (laundry, grocery, meal prep, etc.). Otherwise, when the children are home, they want the Nanny to keep the house tidy and help them pick up, clean up after kids’ snacks/meals, and help prepare school lunches/snacks for the next day.
Their little Boy loves to read and play with Legos. He loves listening to podcasts, playing chess, and playing Minecraft. He is not the most active but loves playing with friends and prefers indoor activities with lots of options for resting when he gets tired or hot. Their little Girl is happy and outgoing and loves to play. She loves to play with babies and often takes them on “trips” to the grocery, the zoo, Disney World, etc. Her favorite thing is having one-on-one play time with a caregiver – reading books, puzzles, doing art, etc. She especially loves to be outside, and anything related to water (pool, bath, water table).
They would love to locate someone with great experience, and a kind demeanor in helping develop their two lovely children.
Their Ideal Nanny is loving and patient above all. They’d like someone comfortable with them being around and present with the kids and who can partner with the Parents in certain tasks (i.e.: bring to doc appointments to meet a parent who will take the child into the appointment). They’d like someone who can help impart traditional manners and good behavior. They would also like someone who can create fun experiences for the kids and meet them where they are developmentally and emotionally on a given day. Big plus if the Nanny can help with homework, loves to read aloud, and is up for encouraging imaginative play.
Reliability and punctually are very important traits for this family and they expect minimal absence or tardiness from their ideal nanny.
The Nanny must feel 100% comfortable taking the children to the pool and swimming with them.
