Durham Family with two little boys hopes to find their new FT Nanny and Household Manager JOB 189
Caring Family of Four in Durham have started their search for an outstanding Full-time Nanny/Household Manager for their 5yo and 2yo little boys by the second week of September. The Family has a scheduled need of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8am – 6pm with Wednesdays being 12pm – 8pm and Friday 12pm – 4pm for a guarantee of 40 hours for the right candidate. The Family is able to be a little flexible with this schedule for the right candidate and provide a few more or few less hours on some days. Nights needed once per week. This is ideal for the Family (and, in the schedule above, will mean 42 hours, with 2 at 1.5x rate), but not mandatory if the right person could not do evenings.
Their oldest attends Kindergarten at Durham Academy. Loves sports, games and puzzles, drawing, books, and Legos. This fall, playing soccer and tennis.
Their youngest will attend Westminster School for Young Children 3 days/week (MWF) from 9-12. Loves trains, the Life & Science Museum, and really anything his older brother is doing or interested in.
The Family is really looking for someone who is responsible, proactive (i.e., able to identify areas in which the Family needs help and fill them), experienced in caring for toddlers and young school aged children, and a team player. The Family is very much family oriented and would love someone who wants to be seen as an extension of them to their children with healthy and stimulating developmental activities and adventures. Their home has a back yard to play in as well as being inside a very walkable neighborhood.
Duties will include:
– Picking up Harris Teeter online grocery order and putting groceries away
– Weekly kids’ laundry
– Light kitchen cleaning (e.g., sweep floors, wipe counters, load and unload dishwasher)
– Cooking is mostly basic food prep (e.g., chopping)
– Trash and recycling
– General tidying of kids’ toys
– Receive and unpack deliveries
– Drive children to and from school (some days), to afterschool activities such as soccer practice and tennis clinic, and to any activities Nanny wishes to do with the youngest when not in school (e.g., Life & Science Museum, playground, Notasium, etc.). The Family will provide two car seats for Nanny’s car.

Position Compensation
Salary: $20 to $24 an hour depending on experience (Could be flexible for perfect candidate w/experience)
