Downtown Durham new first-time parents need a loving nanny for their almost 3-month-old baby boy.
Unfortunately, the family just discovered the baby has craniosynostosis, and he’ll be having neurosurgery on September 8th. He will need to wear a helmet for about a year (not for protection, they recover quickly physically, but to continue to guide the brain plates). Someone who is comfortable caring for a baby with a helmet, of course, will be expected.
As it is usual, the baby will always be the first and most important priority. Still, as new, busy parents, they would appreciate finding someone who is flexible when it comes to occasional household tasks, as in, who will take on light housekeeping duties when they can, depending on the baby’s needs, and communicate when they can’t.
They hope to find someone as clean and tidy, caring and compassionate, professional, knowledgeable, and a direct communicator. The priority is a Nanny who has the experience to be the baby expert who can give advice. Beyond his basic needs, they want a nanny to keep the baby happy and engaged and to know what appropriate learning and exposure for major milestones are. With the parents on a personal level, they want to enjoy each other’s company, learn from each other, and feel mutually cared for, but also respect and are looking for clear personal boundaries and professionalism.
Other side responsibilities could include the occasional trip to the grocery store and taking the dog for a walk. Also, a big plus if the Nanny is happy to do a little cooking here and there.
