About the Family
A warm, energetic family in Durham (27705) is seeking a devoted, long-term Nanny & Household Assistant to care for their three children — H (5), Q (3), and a baby girl due December 2025. The household is English-speaking, faith-centered, and values consistency, kindness, and strong character. The parents hope to welcome someone who becomes an extension of their family, shares their values, and nurtures their children with love, structure, and creativity.
This family is intentional in raising children who are healthy, independent, confident, and respectful. They believe in firm, consistent discipline (timeouts, removing privileges, redirection) within a loving environment. They want a nanny who is an extension of their family, guiding children with kindness, respect, and structure.
Faith is an integral part of their lives. They attend Christ Central Church and aim to reflect the “fruits of the Spirit” (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control). While the nanny need not share their faith, openness to the family’s values is appreciated.
The family lives in a 3,300 sq. ft. two-story home with front and backyard, near parks and a pool. A large, friendly dog lives in the home (no regular walks required; nanny will let the dog out in a fenced-in backyard). The household employs a biweekly housekeeper for deeper cleaning. Dad works from home 50% of the week; Mom works offsite and from home one day per week..
