A warm, outdoors-loving, health-conscious family in Cary is seeking a dependable and engaging full-time nanny to care for their one-year-old daughter, beginning ASAP.
Both parents work from home, one daily and the other most day, and value clear communication, mutual respect, and a collaborative household rhythm. The family is hoping to expand their family in 2027.
Schedule & Compensation
– Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
– guaranteed 40 hours per week
– Rare, optional evening/date-night care
– $26–$30 per hour, based on experience and fit
– 10 paid sick days, 10 paid vacation days, and 12 paid holidays

About the Child
Their daughter is an active, curious one-year-old who loves reading, outdoor play, crafts, and dogs. The family hopes to find someone who genuinely enjoys this stage of childhood and will support learning through conversation, play, routine, and exploration.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will center on attentive, developmentally appropriate toddler care, including:
– Planning engaging days filled with reading, narration, outdoor time, crafts, and play
– Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child, with occasional simple meal prep during nap time a few times per week
– Managing children’s laundry
– Keeping the kitchen and play areas tidy after activities and meals
– Cleaning up after oneself and maintaining a calm, organized environment
– Driving the child as needed; the nanny must have a reliable personal vehicle
Light tidying during downtime is appreciated but is not the focus of the role. General housekeeping, pet care, travel, and weekend care are not required.

For the future when mom becomes pregnant is important to know that because mom has a history of severe hyperemesis gravidarum during pregnancy, careful hygiene is especially important. Consistent handwashing, staying home when ill, and promptly communicating any illness symptoms are essential.
Requirements
– Current Tdap, flu, and MMR vaccinations
– Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
– Comfortable caring for a toddler and eventually supporting a growing family
– References and relevant childcare experience are a must
